Ducati Australia – racing with Troy Bayliss and Mike Jones

Ducati Australia is supporting the Desmo Sport Ducati team, Troy Bayliss’ team.

In a press release Ducati Australia said:

• Ducati Australia will partner with DesmoSport Ducati for the 2020 Australian Superbike Championship Season

• Now as a fully owned subsidiary in Australia, this partnership reinforces the brand’s commitment to the racetrack

• DesmoSport Ducati Team will defend their Championship on board the Ducati Panigale V4 R

With the introduction in 2020 of a fully owned corporate subsidiary of Ducati, the support of the reigning Australian Superbike Champion reinforces the brand’s commitment to the racetrack.

After a long and successful history partnering with Australian riders including Troy Bayliss, Troy Corser, Casey Stoner and now Jack Miller, Ducati Australia are thrilled to officially support the Australian Superbike Championship with DesmoSport Ducati Team Owners, Troy Bayliss and Ben Henry.

We are thrilled to continue this relationship in Australia as we support the DesmoSport Ducati Team to defend the Australian Superbike Championship. We wish Mike Jones and the Team the best of fortunes when racing resumes.”

Troy Bayliss, Team Co-Owner of DesmoSport Ducati and Three Time World Superbike Champion: “My relationship with Ducati is strong. The brand along with the family in Borgo Panigale, have supported me throughout my career and I am excited to once again partner with them for the season ahead. I am excited to go racing together and see a new chapter as a Team Owner along with Ben (Henry).

With COVID-19 restrictions beginning to slowly ease, DesmoSport Ducati Team have begun preparations for the recommencement of the 2020 Australian Superbike Championship. Motorcycling Australia continues to communicate with the team and we hope to see announcements made as soon as possible regarding the modified calendar.
