Yager and Marshall conquer Simpson Desert on WR250Rs

Greg Yager and Pete Marshall have recently completed a 24-hour round trip across the Simpson Desert on Yamaha WR250Rs.
Readers can see the elements Yager and Marshall were up against in their video below:

“This bike has done 10,000km now and I’ve hardly laid a spanner on it.
“I would have no hesitation in using this model for a round-the-world ride,” Yager said.

It took Yager and Marshall nine hours to ride unsupported across the Simpson Desert on the WR250Rs, riding back the next day in ten hours.

Yager is the head of Ride ADV, who equips the WR250R with a long range tank, Barkbusters, raised bars, bashplate and racks.

Other modifications include suspension adjustments and a larger rear sprocket.

Punters can hire the WR250R ‘trail finder’ through Ride ADV and experience their own Yager-led adventure.
