Kawasaki Updates the KLX150

Kawasaki has released an updated small capacity trail bike, the KLX150BF.

Cycle Torque was impressed with the older model, but this new one with USD forks, new petal brakes and more aggressive styling should win even more friends.

It’s powered by a 144cc air-cooled engine which is simple, reliable and economic. The seat height is low for a trailbike, making the machine suitable for youngsters and those short of statue, while it’s still big enough that larger people don’t feel like they are riding a kids’ bike.

Features include:

• Electric start with kick-start back-up
• Strong and reliable engine, tuned for off-road riding
• Slim, lightweight chassis for all-day bush exploration
• Large-diameter wheels offer serious off-road performance
• Large-volume 6.9 litre fuel tank enables a full day of riding

New for 2015 KLX150BF:

More aggressive, KX inspired styling including new front fender, shrouds, side covers, muffler, and rear fender
Updated suspension settings including an ø35 mm inverted front fork
Larger rear sprocket focuses engine performance in low-mid rpm range
New instrumentation featuring fuel gauge
New front and rear petal brake discs
