Two new Tigers growling in June

Triumph has announced the addition of two new Tiger 800 models – the XRT (Touring) and XCA (adventure), to appear in dealerships this June.

Both of these bikes are Triumph’s top spec Tiger tourer and adventure models and each offer plenty of factory features specific to their touring or adventure applications.

The Tiger 800 XRT has improved ergonomics, and a standard fit comfort package that incorporates heated rider and passenger seats and heated grips as standard. The three-cylinder engine and enhanced chassis combine to deliver an engaging and involving road ride, with the ability to tailor performance to the climate and conditions via three switchable riding modes. A 19 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear cast aluminium rims are designed to complement the Tiger XRT’s excellent road manners.

Standard accessories include cruise control, an advanced trip computer, adjustable screen and hand guards all fitted as standard to make every mile easier. Knowing that distance riders require the ability to operate a number of auxiliary accessories such as GPS systems, heated clothing or charging mobile equipment Triumph engineers have equipped the Tiger 800 XRT with a larger 650W alternator, meaning that additional equipment can be powered without having an adverse effect on the bike’s electrical system. To further enhance the Tiger 800 XRT’s touring capability LED fog lights are fitted as standard and the bike comes prepared with the standard fitment of pannier rails ready to accept Triumph’s optional Expedition luggage set.

The Tiger 800 XCA is for those who like to ride a little more off the beaten path and features the same three-cylinder engine and ride-by-wire throttle as it’s road-biased stablemates, enhanced with a host of off-road focused features. Chief amongst these is the fully adjustable WP suspension, along with spoked wheels front and rear. This gives greater travel and control to tackle tough terrain. The XCA also has similar features on the XRT such as heated grips, heated rider and passenger seats, larger 650W alternator, LED fog lights, three auxiliary power sockets, CNC machined foot rests and aluminium pannier rails as standard.
