Honda CBR650F – two new models

Honda has expanded its middleweight line-up, which now presents itself in two distinct packages; the naked CB650F and the sporty CBR650F.

In 2014, aggressive lines and an angular silhouette give the CB650F exceptional visual appeal. The low centre of gravity, upright riding position and wide handlebars offer excellent control. This naked 650 with street-fighter style will offer a fulfilling riding experience for riders of all ability levels.

Honda CBR650FUtilising effective but minimal fairing, the sports-oriented CBR650F is designed to conquer corners with ease while also being an ideal commuter for busy urban streets. Built on the same platform as its naked counterpart, the CBR650F’s slim feel and high-set handlebars give excellent control and confidence while its sharp lines are reminiscent of the Honda CBR legacy.

A brand-new DOHC, 649cc four-cylinder engine has been developed to deliver high torque through the low-to-mid rpm range and strong acceleration from a standing start. Positioned to sit forward in the chassis for optimal weight distribution, the heart of the CB650F and CBR650F effectively gives the rider more control over the machine.

Other features include PGM fuel injection, twin front and single rear ABS disc brakes as standard, seven stage adjustable rear monoshock, 41mm telescopic forks and sturdy steel diamond frame.

Honda CB650FFor Australia, the street-fighter appearance of the CB650F will be enhanced by HRC inspired Tricolour and Candy Blue while the sleek and aggressive CBR650F will be available in Pearl White and Silver Metallic.

Due for arrival in the second quarter of 2014, price and exact arrival dates are to be confirmed.
