“It’s an honour to be acknowledged at a national level for doing something we love – motorcycles,” Brad Smith said.

“It’s our mission to get young people involved in motorcycling so they have a platform to get a clean adrenalin rush, rather than through drugs, crime and violence.”

Braaap’s focus on its range of electric motorcycles has made it one of the most exciting emerging motorcycle brands in Australia.

“Awards like this give us the credibility to turn heads and compete with companies that have been around for decades,” Smith said.

“Nine years ago when we started as a motorcycle manufacturer we never dreamed the Braaap retail concept stores would be named retailer of the year for four of the six years that the awards have been running.”

In 2012 Braaap became the first production bike to win the biggest race in the world for their sport, rolled out 16 dealers across Australia, launched in the USA and the four Braaap concept stores taught hundreds of people how to ride motorcycles for free as part of their mission to get families having fun together.
