Australia’s future road racers at World Superbikes

Former MotoGP and WSBK Rider Chris Vermeulen is excited to see the young Motorcycle Road Race Development Association riders on the Phillip Island circuit, 21-23 February.

The world stage, Vermeulen says, will offer a chance for the young riders “to show what they have got as a rider and to promote that they are ready to compete in the top level of the sport.”

Missing from the MRRDA line-up this year is 2013 four-stroke champion, Nic Liminton, putting runner-up Lachlan Epis as favourite to head the 4-stroke pack with expected competition from 2013 AMA Junior Dirt Track champ, Tom Edwards, who is starting his road race career on a Yamaha R15.

2013 two-stroke champion, Jacob Whitehouse will return to defend his title, with stiff competition to be provided by twins, Jacob and Tayla Street.

The MRRDA Series is THE place to go racing, where opportunities are being created for young talented riders. The focus is not only on racing, but also to educate riders of other assets such as marketing, sponsoring, presentation, nutrition and fitness. MRRDA offers talented riders a ladder to make it to the top.
