Café Moto aims to be the hottest new place in Melbourne for the motorcycle fraternity to meet when it opens for trade in the coming months
The café will offer generous serves of food made from the highest-quality fresh and locally sourced ingredients – and of course top-shelf Melbourne coffee.
Co-owner Peter Jones said, “Melbourne has been crying out for somewhere in the metro area for riders to meet up for a coffee or meal.
“Café Moto will provide somewhere they can feel welcome, talk bikes, read a mag, check out the bikes on display or just chill in the outside eating area.”
Inspired by the Café Racer movement, the venue will keep things simple, but offer the motorcycling, scooter and wider community something distinctly different.
Located at 611 Nepean Highway, Carrum, the beachside venue is an easy ride from Melbourne and is just as much a destination as it is a café, it just so happens to be located at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula which lays claim some of the state’s best touring roads
Café Moto will have some great collectable bikes on display, stock some of the latest bike gear from Roland Sands Design, Bell helmets, Iron & Resin and Motorcycle Company Parma and a mix of products from Australia, the West Coast of the USA and Italy.
“We are unique in also having bike gear available for sale as part of our offering, though you won’t find spark plugs or filters here – just retro-styled café racer clothing, helmets, magazines and accessories,” Jones said.
“Being based on the bay, the Iron & Resin gear is a particularly good fit for us, blending the West Coast bike & beach culture in a great range of clothing and accessories.”
For those not in Melbourne, don’t despair! Café Moto has a slick online retail operation so gear can be shipped throughout the country at the click of a button.
